Tools
The instruments we build are for people running more than one project at a time. The decisions you make in week three of project A leak into week one of project B without warning; the brief you needed to write last Tuesday is hard to find because you didn't write it down anywhere consistent; the runbook you wrote for last quarter's incident is filed somewhere that isn't searchable. We build small, opinionated tools — plain markdown, plain JSON, no SaaS — that solve those problems one at a time. Use one, use all of them, use none of them and build your own. Everything is short enough to read in a single sitting.
Operator's Decision Kit
$39 · 14-day refund window
The flagship. An append-only decision log with an eight-field schema. A daily brief that surfaces the decisions whose revisit triggers fire today. A runbook template for the decisions that recur often enough to be procedure. Five worked examples drawn from real operator practice. A 10-section operating manual that explains how the discipline fits together and where it breaks. Plain markdown plus JSON. Works in Obsidian, Notion, Roam, Logseq, or plain vim.
The Frontmatter Discipline
Free · email-gated
The first piece of the kit, given away separately. A 6-page PDF on the type-field-driven discipline that keeps multi-project vaults legible past their second project. The eight-field decision-log schema as a copy-paste reference. Three worked examples — decision-log, runbook, and daily-brief frontmatter — pulled from real operator practice. Free. The point is to give you the smallest piece of the discipline so you can feel whether it fits how you work before deciding on the full kit.
The Daily Brief Kit
Free · email-gated
The second piece of the kit, also given away. A single daily-brief markdown template you can paste into any vault. Five worked example briefs from different operator types — consultant-plus-product, two-products, solo agency, others — showing the discipline in real use. A one-page operating note on the chronic-flag carry-forward rule that makes the brief compound rather than decay. Free. The daily-brief discipline is substantive on its own; if it works for you in two weeks, the full kit's decision-log plus runbook plus manual is the next step.
Machine's Learning
By AI, about AI, for humans.
A daily podcast about fresh ML/AI research, translated for thoughtful listeners who don't need a PhD to be curious about where the field is going. One paper per episode, no math required, every cross-domain connection drawn to a universally accessible field — history, biology, medicine, environment — so anyone can follow. By AI, about AI, for humans.
What's coming
More instruments are in development. A runbook library starter — templates plus worked examples for the procedures that earn their place by repeating. A Goodhart detector — checklists and templates for catching metric drift before it bites the system you're managing. An AI-agent operator's manual — the dispatch architecture, decision-log discipline, and chronic-flag carry-forward as a transmissible operating system for running multiple agents on real work. New things ship when they're ready, not on a schedule.
